Gette Levy is an active member of several communities. Dedication to community work and care comes in many forms: attending public meetings, writing elected representatives, donating time to non-profit and grass-roots organizations, providing educational sessions and workshops, and protesting. Working collaboratively with others, they regularly petition for change. They create artworks around protest work and for protest work.
One of the largest forms of art therapy community work that Gette has done has been a contribution of over 1000+ hours of unpaid labor to non-profits. Additionally, Gette has worked with professionals to petition the American Art Therapy Association since 2017 in regards to their public embrace and endorsement of Karen Pence, an anti-LBGTQ speaker and policy advocate who is currently second lady of the U.S.A.
